Changelog: - The option to specify an HTTP port has been provided to prevent cameras that are online from showing up as offline.
Previously, a VISCA command was sent to each camera to get its online/offline status, but this proved to be slow and lead to unresponsiveness and large wait times on the home screen.
- This also resulted in the app crashing
- The app now attempts to establish an HTTP connection to each camera to determine its online/offline status, which leads to far better responsiveness on the home screen
- The “edit” menu of the app now provides info on where to find the camera speed settings. Camera specific speed controls can be implemented in a future update.
- Network scan is now more reliable
- Some users have pointed out that the PTZ joystick is too large on iPad. The size of the joystick has been reduced for larger devices.
- The size should remain the same for smaller devices such as iPhone and iPod Touch
- The OSD Menu now displays a button to disable auto tracking when connected to a Move or SE camera, since the OSD Menu does not display when auto tracking is enabled.
- A bug where the preloading screen did not display when launching the IEC Menu has been fixed. Users will have to wait until the app has gathered all necessary information from the camera before being able to alter settings in this section.
- Full support has been implemented for the PTZOptics Move Series and SE Series.
- The Link line of cameras can be added to the app, but their compatibility has not been tested, as there are currently no test devices available from the Link series.
- A subtle change to the app’s design has been implemented (shadows on the home screen, bigger text in certain areas, etc.)
- A user pointed out that the mute switch currently only applies to the PTZ Control menu. This has been extended to apply everywhere.
- The app should generally feel more stable and responsive
- Users now have the ability to select whether to use MJPEG or RTSP to access their camera’s feed
- This option can be configured when adding a new camera to the app or editing an existing camera
- This option applies only to the PTZ Control interface, since that is where response lag is generally a matter of concern
- The OSD Menu does not show on the MJPEG stream, so this section will continue to display the RTSP feed even if the user has selected MJPEG for a particular camera
- The Image quality may be more important than less input response time in the IEC menu, so this section continues to show the RTSP feed even if MJPEG is selected
- In general, the MJPEG stream will be of lower quality and framerate than the RTSP stream, but have far less delay
- There are three sizes available for the presets panel at this time
- The ability to quickly switch between cameras has been added
- This can be accessed via the icon next to the Voice Presets button on the PTZ Control section
